Mr. Antalov Jagnandan

My name is Antalov Jagnandan. I am 39 years old. My wife, Leslyn, and I have two daughters Anaya and Antonia and a son Asa. I currently serve as the Head of Department in the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics in the Faculty of Natural Sciences. In addition to being a lecturer, I am the Associate Pastor of Lusignan Assembly of God Church, a member of the National Executive of the youth arm of the Assemblies of God in Guyana, the founder and current advisor of University of Guyana Mathematics and Statistics Society (UGMASS), a member of JCI Guyana, a member of the University of Guyana Green Institute (UGGI), a member of the UGWU Executive and Chief Examiner of CAPE Integrated Mathematics. 

My academic qualifications began at Queens College where I sat the CXC and GCE A level examinations. I went on to the University of Guyana where I obtained a Diploma in Computer Science, a BSc Computer Science, a BSc Mathematics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in Mathematics (all passed with distinction). I have also completed my Masters of Science in Mathematics (CUM LAUDE) from AIU and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Administration) from the University of Guyana. In addition, I have completed a Masters of Science in Education Leadership, Management and Emerging Technologies MIU City University Miami (SUMMA CUM LAUDE).  

My professional experience in teaching began at St Joseph High as a teacher in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the age of 17 in October, 2000.  I have also been privileged to teach at various private schools and colleges in the areas of Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I have lectured at the Cyril Potter College of Education from 2007 to 2009. In October 2009, I became a lecturer at the University of Guyana in the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Statisitics in the Faulty of Natural Sciences.

I love sports and still do enjoy participating in various games. My passion is doing the will of God by making an impact on the lives of young people both as a lecturer and a Minister of Religion. This passion has seen me giving of my gifts in various communities in Guyana to help persons..
