Gender and Development

Using gender lens to critique and analyse development processes in understanding how women and men are affected differently in their daily lives. Also, the active roles that both women and men play within the development process which may also vary at the intersections of race, class, orientation and other categories.

Media and Suicide

The role of the media in reporting news stories on suicide and how this may inform our understanding of the issue. But also, how we may understand gender and race, in particular, in suicide related news stories and how this may affect public policy.

Research Methods in Social Science

Using SPSS as well as feminist research methods in data collection and analyzing.
