About Ms. Louisa Daggers
Name: Louisa B. Daggers

Department: Language and Cultural Studies/ Amerindian Research Unit
Ms. Daggers obtained her B.A at the university of Guyana and a M.A.A form Boise State University. She is certified in Underwater Archaeology form the Nautical Archaeological Society and has a Diploma in project Management. She is the resident Archaeologist of Guyana and represents Guyanas UCH interest under the UNESCO underwater cultural Heritage convention. She is an Affieliet of the Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology and the British Museum Center of Excellence and a current member of the Guyana Museum Board.
Ms. Daggers serves as the co-editor of the Anthropology and Archaeology Journal. Ms. Daggers and currently serves as Coordinator of the ARU and co-supervisor of the Archaeology Field school. She has spent the last 11 years investigating Archaic shell midden sites and prehistoric diet breadth, her current research focus is climate reconstruction and population adaptive responses during the mid-Holocene.
Ms. Daggers has worked extensively with indigenosu communities in the area of heritage management, training and consultations for numerious projects.

Archaeology
Area of focus include the prehistory of Guyana with emphasis on the Holocene environment and climate. Assessing Populations diet, movement and climate utilizing Isotopic analysis and human, faunal remains.

I have acquired over 7 years of expertise in socio economic and socio cultural assessments and Stakeholder Engagement with local and indigenous communities, with knowledge of FPIC. worked as a consultant in this capacity on GCF readiness proposals, REDD+ pilot projects and public infrastructural development projects in Guyana.
Heritage Management
assessment of cultural heritage (archaeological) sites, vulnerability assessment and development of site management plans with the involvement of local communities and traditional knowledge.
