About Mrs. Dionne Frank


Ms Dionne Frank joined the University of Guyana in 2008 as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences. She lectures courses in the social work and sociology programmes and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students' research. During the period August 2012 – September 2015, she performed the duties as Head, Department of Sociology. Ms Frank is also a PhD Candidate in Social Policy at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. Ms Frank research interest includes social welfare and social work epistemologies, programme evaluation, and social and community assessments. 

 

 

Social Expert (Social assessments and Stakeholder Engagement)

Formulate and articulate social and community development programmes incorporating rights-based approaches, gender mainstreaming, and social inclusion. Undertake work in social development, community needs assessment, social baseline data collection and stakeholder engagement.

Project Planning, Implementation and monitoring

Competent in project design and planning, grant writing and monitoring and evaluation.

Research Methods in Social Science

Qualitative and quantitative methodologies and applied research.
